As those of you reading this may already be aware, yesterday (last night for all of you) we toured Halong Bay aboard a Chinese Junk. Unfortunately, during our trip tragedy struck a fully loaded tourist boat which sunk at 5:00 am immediately killing 12 tourists included two Americans and an Irishman who coincidentally stayed at our hotel in Hanoi and AB chatted with the prior night.
As we made our way for home this morning, we floated past the eerie remains, snapping photos, unaware of the passengers somber fate. Once we hit land, we were informed a number of people were unable to get out of their cabins as water rushed in and perished. Clearly a grim tale and a further reminder that life is transitory, so live it up!
